Tomorrow
We will all live
in the house of tomorrow,
drink of the same spring,
sleep in the same bed,
outlast the sorrow.
In dark energy,
greed will dissolve.
No need to trouble
about errors in judgment.
Magnificence will evolve
in deep space.
Outside our domain,
longing will cease
to distress shifting forms
of being.
As distances decrease
toward a cosmic membrane,
though the room
will have changed,
the prophecy will hold:
So the mystery—
what has rearranged—
will remain forever more
beyond intelligence,
beyond myth and prayer,
and love, even…
but you—
I would know you
anywhere.
